AQUASOL MARINE ENTERPRISES is a for-profit business formulated as a means to create jobs and revenue through the saving/management of the Indian River Lagoon and its related industries.
In researching the saving of the IRL, it has been my experience that the most commonly expressed sentiment as to its impediment is lack of funding. While funds are essential in an undertaking such as this, the only thing that will affectively save the Lagoon is work. To be blunt, I believe it's been an excess of money (play/enjoyment) and lack of coordinated work over many years that has caused the current problems in the Lagoon. Furthermore, in my attempts to find work/jobs in the field of Lagoon Revitalization/Restoration, I've found none besides those pertaining to volunteering, which is necessary work but doesn't provide any sustainable income. I've been performing this work in my own means/capacity for the better part of 5 years, mostly for free, because it's something that needs to get done and I prefer to be of service; what I've gained is (literal) in-depth knowledge and particular experience with the status of the Lagoon—some of which I've endeavored to express on this site, along with my ambitions and ideas on how to save it.
In 2024, I established AQUASOL MARINE ENTERPRISES as fully licensed/insured Yacht Management business, with a primary focus on dive work. From my first days in business it became abundantly clear how dire/necessary the undertaking of Lagoon Revitalization was, and for that I chose to do it; however, last year's two major hurricanes (Helene, Milton) resulted in major bacterial churn in the Lagoon, along with the detection/presence of a flesh-eating virus. At that point I decided to halt my diving operations until water quality improved; once again reiterating how necessary Revitalization was/is. Lagoon health requires immediate action.

It is for the aforementioned reasons and experiences that I have restructured/refocused AME as a Lagoon Revitalization business. And as a business, AME intends to generate income/revenue; however, a large part of this undertaking resides in decreasing the amount of money required for these projects and demystifying/clarifying the (water) work involved in completing them. Once again, the greatest asset/remedy in saving the Lagoon is work; and for this reason, capital is needed for such things as paying workers, equipment and vessels/vehicles, but everything else is off the muscle. And make no mistake, this is difficult, hard work—and for that reason, those undertaking it should be paid healthy, sustainable incomes. Furthermore, AME seeks to allocate and align with individuals/companies of high competence, with understanding and commitment to completing the task(s) at hand.
AQUASOL MARINE ENTERPRISES will continue to do this work on my own, in whatever capacity, as I've been doing; however additional hands, minds and funds will undoubtedly expedite this process and increase the ground/water we're able to Revitalize.
"It take a village to raise a child but it will take a conglomerate (coordinated efforts across industries) to save the Lagoon."

I classify myself as a lifestyle entrepreneur, in that while I seek monetary profits, I am ultimately motivated by achieving a certain way of living; in my case, that’s the marine lifestyle—living and working on boats, being on the water and in the sun. And in this regard, I’m proud to say that I am fairly successful. That being said, life has its expenses, which is why I chose to formulate a business that supports my lifestyle. I view my life(style) as an equation, and if one part of that equation is out of balance, then I must do whatever I can in my capacity to make it better—in this case being the need to Revitalize the Lagoon.
Since expanding the scope of my business to Lagoon Revitalization and thinking about the work to be done, I contemplated whether I should restructure my business as a non-profit, alas, I concluded that a large part my work is to legitimize work performed in/on saving the Lagoon as profitable work. For this reason, and in the interest of providing a sustainable income for myself and others, AME continues to exist as a State Registered For-Profit LLC.
One of my most prominent, self-admirable traits is my drive to survive. Throughout my life it’s been a major focus and something that I’ve strived to become more knowledgeable about it, even placing myself in certain situations to test my resilience and gain more experience in the field—at this point I feel I’ve mastered the art of survival. I’ve proven to myself that I don’t need much to live well, however, having increased capital allows me to expand and amplify certain aspects of my life. Having a lifestyle and business that are intertwined such as mine, most of my capital gets reinvested into my business to acquire things such as tools, equipment, faster speed of movement/time saving, employment of others—having more money allows me to do more, and ultimately, to better help/serve more people.
